Tia Wright began baking cheesecakes in 2017 as a hobby to provide a family treat for her growing family.  Her husband  Jarvis and children enjoyed these cakes so much he thought it would be a great idea to introduce her cakes for the upcoming family gatherings such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Jarvis was confident many would be impressed with his wife's cakes but both were shocked when family and close friends began to request for Tia to make them their own and offered to even pay her for it! 

After this, the husband and wife duo began to believe that they just might have something special.  Tia began experimenting with new techniques and flavors to perfect her craft while Jarvis took on building an arsenal of  equipment supplies to enhance production along with sales and marketing.  Soon assistance came from their 6 wonderful children (now 7) who would become taste testers and often offer the final approval of  a flavor making it on the menu.

Throughout the years The Wrights would sell their cakes to mostly friends/family.  Then, in March of 2020 the Corona Virus hit and many throughout the world were devastated . Due to Covid 19, Tia was forced to stop working at her place of employment.  At the time with a family of 8 to provide for, she and Jarvis believed  this may be their  best opportunity to truly dive into their small business of making the best cheesecakes around. Since then, orders  have kept coming in thanks to positive word of mouth and social media shares from all of the best customers ever.  Today The Wright Slice of Cheesecake is on a mission to become a staple in their state Connecticut !
